Leading ultra-marathon runner banned for using car in 50-mile race
British ultra-marathon runner banned for using a car during a race and accepting a trophy for third place.
Joasia Zakrzewski denied deliberately cheating, claiming she had told marshalls she was injured.
Zakrzewski's explanation was rejected by a UK Athletics disciplinary panel who banned her from competition for 12 months. [ more ]
